Unfortunately I have only recently realized the history of this extraordinary collaboration of musicians; Please explain how the evil fuck that murdered Mia gets a hall pass to continue to live?

I only found out about the Gits recently and I am sure glad I did. I am going through a very hard time now and can relate to their music. Mia was truly a talented and vivacious young lady who did not deserve to have her life cut short. She definately made the most of her life and she is now looking down on all of us from Heaven. Viva Zapata!

Mia was long gone from this planet when I found out about the Gits, but I first heard them during one of the hardest times in my life. The Gits music has gotten me through when I was dragging by barely hanging on and how her friends and surviving band members speak of her makes me reevaluate my life and friendships. You never know how long your gonna have them. RIP Mia and thank you...

First heard of the Gits here in CT, USA back in 1998 when I purchased a used copy of the Hype! soundtrack at my local record store. Of all the tracks included, the Gits\' \"Second Skin\" connected with me the most. Have purchased the entirety of the Gits discography since (including all albums, 7\", comps, etc.). You guys ultimately helped me through a particularly rough patch in my life a few years back, to which I am forever grateful. A Gits show poster now sits high on the wall of my band\'s rehearsal space, seemingly as a reminder. And oh yeah, I share Mia\'s birthday...

I\'m from Brazil - For me The Gits is one of the biggest motives of why Seattle in the early 90\'s was the better place for music in the history (i wasn\'t there but i think it was). The \"Frenching the bully\" album is one of my favorites. Thank you for making such good songs.

Hi, I am a new fan and I find Mia\'s story hugely tragic and her music mind blowingly amazing. I was wondering if you could tell me where I could get a hold of the film made about the Gits? it does not seem to be on sale any where? Thank you

My grandmother turned me on to the gits in 2003 she was watching a documentry on a&e about mia and she called me and told me i might like it so i tuned in and watched the whole thing it was good so i got curious and started looking up the gits, then when I herd second skin I was blown away so i bought the reissue that came out and the whole cd was mind blowing it was like the flood gates had opened and all this great music came through so I bought the rest of there albums and it was the same thing. The band was the best thing I\'ve herd in a long time and mia had a bad ass voice to go with the killer music. They are the best punk rock band to have ever played its sad that they were cut off so soon. RIP Mia

It\'s funny that of all .gifs there could have been on this website, you have decided to grab the one from the film The Hipe! I watched that film the first time in 2006 I believe and I thought to myself \"Who is this woman? I must know more\". The way she grabs her Louisville tanktop...there was something about that that grabbed ME and so I went on and discovered the band and...I just LOVE you guys! I finally went to visit Mia last month. Louisville, too small a place for such a huge soul. In the hopes that my future daughter will have the bollocks Mia had, I will name her Mia (\"mine\" in Italian, my first language).

When I saw Unsolved Mysteries and they were saying about Mia and who killed her me and my friend were watching it on T.V.in 1993 and I thought to myself Sandy I said to myself who would kill a very sweet lady like Mia? Me and my friend stayed up half the night trying to figure out who killed Mia and we got nothing. And the main thing for me at that point was that I will never hear Mia\'s beautiful vocals again and it made me and my friend very very sad we were crying as we watched the T.V. my waste basket was filled with used tissues and over flowing with used tissues and it was totally heart breaking for me and hearing that kind of news and unsolved mystery on T.V. was very shocking. Sandy Loves Mia.
