I'll keep this simple. Because of Mia's extraordinary talents as both a wordsmith and vocalist, combined with Andy's unparalleled songwriting and guitar skill and Matt and Steve's awesome musicanship, the Gits have enriched my life immeasurably, like few have ever have. Their music, and Mia, are now immortal. I can never thank you enough.

Mia, you were amazing and truly beautiful! Such an inspiring artist and human being! I wish I would have known you and The Gits way back when you were still making music together, you would have rocked my pre-teenage world like no one else could have. But you & the Gits still rock my world, after all! Much love and thank you - from the bottom of my heart. iViva Zapata! xoxxxox

Dear Mia,

You have saved my soul- you have given me life and your words have justified me. Heavy beautiful angel, you will forever be missed.

I love you.
The Gits is my anthem, forever with me.

I'm not going to lie, I found out about this group through Nirvana, and I'm so thankful for that. Mia is one of the most honest, powerful, and REAL singers I've ever heard of. The music the Gits have made speaks to me in a way some bands fail to do. Like I said before, I'm incredibly thankful for finding out about a band like this.

I used living Seattle for a while Watch The Gits Live Show Many Times. All The Time The Show was powerful! I felf Punk Rock from Them.
I wanna say The Gits still Live and Great Punk band for Me! Big Love and Respect from Japan!

Dear Mother, dear Mother, the Church is cold
But the Ale-house is healthy & pleasant & warm
Besides I can tell where I am used well
Such usage in Heaven will never do well.

But if at the Church they would give us some Ale,
And a pleasant fire, our souls to regale,
We'd sing and we'd pray all the live-long day;
Not once ever wish from the Church to stray.

Then the Parson might preach & drink & sing
And we'd be as happy as birds in the spring'
And modest Dame Lurch, who is always at church
Would not have bandy children nor fasting nor birch.

And God like a father rejoicing to see
His children as pleasant and happy as he,
Would have no more quarrel with the Devil or Barr,
But kiss him and give him both drink & apparel.

- William Blake, "The Little Vagabond"
